Christmas is around the corner and if you know someone who loves to ski, check out these present ideas, there’s something for every budget!

A GoPro Camera

Seasoned skiers will love a GoPro to record their adventures on the slopes. If they already have this essential bit of kit then check out some of the awesome accessories you can also buy such as harnesses, suction cups (to stick the camera on helmets or skis), tripods and selfie sticks. Each season a new version is released with more advanced features.

Ski Goggles

Every skier needs a pair of decent goggles to protect them from the elements and bright light. They come in all different sizes and designs with varying degrees of ventilation systems and lenses. They are much cheaper to buy at home than the ski resorts.

Home Decor

If you have a favourite picture from previous skiing holiday, you could have it made into a canvas print. There are some cool gift ideas online too, we love this piste map from Frozen Undergound or how about a personalised map of their favourite ski resort from Mapiful?

Stocking Fillers

There are tons of skiing films around, from the daft to the inspiring and they make a great stocking filler. From the best skiing film ever ‘Claim’ to the inspiring ‘Eddie The Eagle,’ and everything inbetween. Check out this list ‘13 Best Skiing and Snowboarding Films’ on The Telegraph.

Rucksack or CamelBak

It’s thirsty work skiing all day and a CamelBak is a great piece of kit to ensure your skier stays hydrated. A two or three litre bladder would be perfect and can be refilled out on the mountains. A small rucksack is also handy so other essentials such as sun cream and sunglasses can be carried around too!

Socks or Slippers

Traditionally these are a bit of a jokey present however a decent pair of ski socks or slippers will definitely be appreciated. Socks come in all different sizes and materials, look out for ones with mesh ventilation to help feet breathe and the socks with shin pads which can prevent blisters. Similarly, a cosy pair of slippers will be much appreciated and perfect for lounging around the chalet.

Novelty Gifts

You’d don’t have to break the bank to get your favourite skier something for Christmas. We love this luggage tag from Zazzle with printed ‘Keep Calm and Ski’ slogan has a leather strap and will help avoid potential bag mix-ups on ski trips!

A Holiday to the French Alps

Last but not least, the most expensive (and obvious) one on the list but they’ll love you forever. Check out our lovely self-catered ski chalet Chalet la Fontaine in Châtel. A stay here offers access to 650km of pistes in the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest linked ski resorts in the world!
