If you’re thinking about booking a catered chalet on your next ski holiday in France but don’t know where to start, here’s some information you may find useful.

The best thing about a catered ski chalet is you don’t need to worry about cooking or cleaning! For five days, you can enjoy a cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and a three-course dinner. You can also enjoy canapés and drinks with dinner. The chalet hosts have two days off. On those days you can eat out on the slopes or try delicious French alpine cuisine in the village. The Portes du Soleil’s restaurant’s offer incredible hearty mountain dishes. Look out for the beautiful locally-made cheeses, you will not be disappointed! Your hosts will also take care of the fireplace and clear the snow.

Catered chalets really enhance the ski holiday experience and are perfect for couples, friends and families. If you have a large enough group, you can even book the entire chalet out. If you are travelling in a smaller group then you can share the ski chalet with other guests. Whatever you choose, catered chalets are renowned for their cosy, social and easy-going environment. They provide a great way to spend time with old friends or new. You can also relax in the hot tub after a day out skiing. Read more: How to Book a Group Ski Holiday.
