At Les Gets you’ll have quick access to 120 km of slopes. They cover beautiful pine forests and alpine pastures of the Les Gets Morzine ski area. This area covers skiing for everyone, from beginner slopes to more challenging runs for the experts. Les Gets-Morzine ski area offers 71 runs, 47 lifts and 15 fun runs.
PLANNING A SKI HOLIDAY IN LES GETS
Les Gets sits at 1200m and the lifts take you up to just over 2000m. The resort is known for being a picturesque and quaint village, with a generally fantastic snow record. Les Gets boasts magnificent views and scenery overlooking Mont Blanc.
The Sous le Ranfoilly area higher up the mountain offers stunning panoramic views. This is a great spot to bask in the sunshine and tuck into a picnic in Les Nauchets. There’s a perfect picture spot on the Ranfoilly platform too. If you wish to explore further, you can make tracks for a place called Les Perrières, or one of the other sectors which combined, make up the overall ski area: Chamossière, Nyon, Pléney and Morzine.
Ski holidays in Les Gets offer something for everyone. You’ll find Nordic skiing trails and a free beginners’ area complete with a videopark, timed slalom and a snowpark. BEST BARS AND RESTAURANTS IN LES GETS
If you’re looking for a quick bite or an indulgent mountain feast, there’s tons of choice in Les Gets. In the village check out Le 412 for kebabs, paninis, wraps and burgers. It’s great value for money and you can eat on the terrace or take-away. For something a bit more upmarket, try Les Copeaux for their delicious dish of the day.
La Païka is full of old farmhouse vibes. Set on the mountain, it features a wood-fired barbecue, red meats, poultry, grilled fish, Mont d’Or and keep an eye out for the large buffet of homemade desserts.
Le Wetzet is a great place for a bite on the slopes and offers all sorts of take away. Try the soup, charcuteries, fromage, beignets de pommes de terre, hot drinks, frites, paninis, crêpes sucrées and delicious pâtisseries.
Le Chasse-Montagne on the mountain specialises in Valais fondue with 3 cheeses. There’s also cheese and white wine crust, Chasse Montagne platter (regional products), lumberjack soup and traditional cuisine. Take away includes hot dogs, hamburgers and pancakes.
For your apres-ski L’Apreski Bar comes highly recommended. You’ll find this at the bottom of the slopes. Enjoy traditional outdoor apres with some live music and hot alcoholic drinks to warm you up. Barbylone has a lively atmosphere and Bar Bush is always full of skiers who love the music, vin chaud and snacks. Other top rated restaurants include: Sush’ski if sushi floats your boat, Au Malakoff for wonderful service and fondue, La R’mize has an authentic Savoyarde atmosphere, Vina Annapurna for its warm atmosphere, friendly staff and Wild Beets Kitchen for green and healthier options.
BEST ACTIVITIES FOR NON-SKIERS IN LES GETS
Winter holidays have more to offer than simply skiing or snowboarding. Sometimes we all need a day off the mountain and if you have non-skiers in the group, then it’s important to know what else is on offer.
Dog sledding
A wonderful activity where a local dog handler explains all about dog sledding. The 25-minute sessions take place above Les Gets in the snow where children ride on the sleds and discover more about the husky dogs.

Introduced in 2020, this is an enchanting nighttime walk through the woods. It’s a wonderful activity to do on your ski holiday in Les Gets. Open after dark, visitors follow a marked trail as a story unfolds. The forest is brought to life with an incredible light and sound show.
