The chalet is conveniently located opposite the bus stop. This means you can access the Gabelou and Portes du Soleil ski lifts quickly, with minimum fuss.
Luxury Chalet
In 2020 a complete renovation took place. Traditional ‘vieux bois’ (old wood) has been used throughout to give the property a luxurious, high-end finish.

It comprises four double bedrooms with space for 8-10 guests and the ground floor offers a brand new heated boot room. On the middle floor, the large open-plan living room is the perfect space to socialize. The generous dining table is the ideal setting for a hearty breakfast or your evening meal. The large windows and balcony doors create a lovely, light space where you can admire the spectacular mountain views. After the sun sets, the fireplace transforms the area into a cosy space, perfect for relaxing on the sofa.
There’s a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a bar area for an aperitif before dinner. The lounge is equipped with a smart TV / DVD player and free Wi-Fi is available throughout along with USB charging points.

Chalet la Fontaine is in Châtel, a charming French village on the Swiss border. Located just a 90 minute drive from Geneva airport, Châtel offers access to the amazing Portes du Soleil, with 650 km of pistes it’s one of the largest linked ski areas in the world. The ski bus stop is opposite the chalet. The nearest ski lifts are Gabelou and Portes du Soleil which are just minutes away on the free bus. The area is suitable for groups of friends, couples and families.
Shops, Bars and Restaurants
Shops, bars and restaurants in Châtel are easily accessible and Nazca bar is only a 5 minute stroll away, perfect for après-ski. For lunch, you’ll be spoiled for choice on the slopes, there are around 90 restaurants dotted around so you won’t go hungry!
Flights and Airport Transfers
We recommend you fly to Geneva airport which is just 90 minutes’ drive to Châtel.
You should pre-book your transfer from Geneva airport to Châtel and there are a few local companies we recommend Châtel Transfers and IBEX Transfers. Prices for shared transfer start from only €55 per person and private transfers start from €270.
